Still More Than A Great Golf Vacation...

STILL OVER 300 HOLES OF HISTORIC, CHAMPIONSHIP AND COASTAL GOLF
Donald Ross, Tom Bendelow and Jack Daray – architect of Olympia Fields in Chicago, designed courses here early in the last century. Recently - Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Davis Love III and Mark Cucumber all built their best here to give golfers a choice of the classic historic tracks as well as their new championship layouts – golf to fit every skill level and every budget. Some area courses have new greens, tees and fairways with most in their best conditions ever. Golfers have been visiting the area since 1908 - nearly 100 years - and we look forward to welcoming golfers the next 100 years to Mississippi's “Golf” Coast.

STILL 26 MILES OF COAST WITH A SOOTHING GULF BREEZE
On the “Golf” Coast there is 180 degrees of southern exposure and the sun glimmers over the Gulf of Mexico all day long. This charming region’s exceptional weather delivers warm winter and cool summer breezes. Drive south to where the road ends at the Gulf of Mexico and then, you too, can enjoy Mississippi's “Golf” Coast fabled breezes.
 STILL 24/7 GAMING AND ENTERTAINMENT
With 10 nearly brand new casino resorts, the investment in the area by the gaming industry can be seen quickly when entering the IP Casino and Hotel, Isle of Capri, Grand Biloxi, Hollywood Casino Bay St. Louis, Island View Casino Gulfport, Boomtown Casino or Silver Slipper. The new emphasis on land based gaming has helped this area open 10 casino resorts in 2006 and many more to open soon. Craps, Blackjack, Poker and Slot Machines abound with live entertainment shows to match the action.

STILL GREAT CUISINE AND PLENTIFUL LOCAL SEAFOOD
The Gumbo is still hot and hearty and full of shrimp and the po-boys have never been better. Mississippi's “Golf” Coast  menus, abundant with local southern cuisine, coastal seafood and succulent steaks, dish up a savory culinary experience.
STILL AN ENDLESS SUPPLY OF SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY
We invented Southern Hospitality on the “Golf” Coast and the people here are the area’s biggest asset. This is the only place that combines the glitz of Las Vegas with the weather and down home coastal charm of a sweet tea and a shrimp sandwich. We hope this guide helps you prepare to discover America's south coast - specifically - Mississippi's “Golf Coast.”
